PSED

Have you ever pondered over any of the following?

  • How do I remember my garden’s scent, from my childhood even today? Can early experience leave everlasting impact?
  • What culminated me into the person I am today
  • What makes every child unique?
  • Is it the effect of ‘genes’ or ‘nurture’, on one’s personality?

Well, the answer to all of the above is the same.

It is the influence of parents, peer, one’s temperament, a strong sense of self, and sometimes critical life experiences that shapes one’s personal, social & emotional development.

What does PSED means for young children?

Research indicates, warm, positive interactions stabilize connections in the child’s brain, leading to strong neural pathways.

Chapter 4.3

Attachment being the foremost indicator of social development. It is hard to miss the tiny eyes gleam at the sight of his/her parents. When you interact verbally or otherwise, there is a dance-like movement in the petite body, a movement whose rhythm matches that of your communication with him.

Chapter 4.4
